Most commercial refrigeration failures do not happen without warning. There are usually signs that something is wrong before a unit fails completely. Catching these early means the repair is simpler, cheaper, and can be scheduled rather than treated as an emergency.
Running too warm. If your unit is struggling to hold temperature — particularly during busy periods or on warm days — it is a sign of condenser issues, refrigerant loss, or a failing compressor. Do not ignore it. A unit that is 2 to 3 degrees above target is at risk of failing completely, often at the worst possible time.
Temperature fluctuating. Inconsistent temperatures that swing up and down indicate thermostat faults, sensor failure, or intermittent electrical issues. All are repairable but will worsen if left.
Freezing inside a fridge. Ice forming in the main compartment of a fridge indicates a defrost system fault or a thermostat running too cold.
